Dr. Aretina Rochelle Hamilton is the inaugural Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Dr. Hamilton’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment is grounded in her background as a scholar, diversity practitioner, and consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kentucky State University, a Masters in Urban Affairs and Policy from the University of Delaware, and a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Kentucky. She is a super fan of Prince and Beyonce and loves the Games of Thrones,The Wire, and Lovecraft Country.
